A substantial, hand-built backpack crafted from natural vegetable-tanned vachetta leather and finished by hand from beginning to end.
There is nothing mass-produced about this piece.
Every element of the bag was cut, formed, assembled, stitched, antiqued, and finished individually in my workshop. The leather is left with its natural character intact, then given a deep, warm antiqued finish that brings out the grain and gives the surface its distinctive depth and variation.
The construction is deliberately substantial. Thick leather panels form the body and pockets, with carefully shaped straps and closures layered throughout the design. Every seam is hand stitched, and every piece of hardware is individually fitted.
The hardware is solid antiqued brass, chosen for its weight, durability, and the way it complements the warmth of the vachetta. As the bag is carried, the leather will gradually darken and develop its own patina, while the brass will acquire character alongside it.
The result is a backpack with the presence of an old piece of field equipment and the refinement of a finely made leather good.
It was made to be carried, used, worn, and eventually marked by its owner.
No two pieces of natural leather are identical, and the hand-applied finishing process ensures that every bag develops its own character. The piece you receive will be uniquely yours from the moment you begin using it.
